LOOS & the support 2020

In May 2020 LOOS received a negative continuation advice from the municipality of The Hague. This meant that our organisation was likely not to receive governmental subsidy for the period of 2021-2024. Read our response to the advice here.

Throughout this difficult time of uncertainty, we felt lucky to have so many supporters and friends who sent letters and statements to us and to the local government in solidarity. It was wonderful to see how many of you thought The Hague really needed LOOS and found it to be a crucial artistic element of the city.

Luckily, after having made multiple changes to the visibility and structure of the organisation, and with the help of all the support, in November the government of The Hague finally decided on a favourable final answer and included LOOS in the Art & Culture plan of 2021-2024!
