Pijama and the Patterson was born from the music sharing experience of Guillermo Celano and Claudio Tursa.

Claudio Tursa is coming on tour from Mexico, he is a multi-faceted sound artist who has been experimenting for the last 25 years. He studied musical production and Tibetan singing bowls developing sound healing techniques.

His work goes from latin rhythms to meditative ethereal soundscapes. In the last year his work is highly influenced by shaman philosophy, sacred sounds, and DIY electronic instruments.

Guillermo Celano, composer and guitarist has been leading various active projects in the Nederlands during the last decade. In this project, Celano explores the possibilities of the instrument from a different perspective than he is accustomed to. The beauty and quality of the sound as the motor for creation are the main subject of this trip.

For this performance at Ephémère – Studio Loos, Pijama and the Patterson will play a set of improvise music with very little written material. The point of departure is sound. It will be a set full of soundscapes, effects, samples, singing bowls, processed trumpet and electric guitar.
